SAN LORENZO THE CATHEDRAL

Majestic and imposing is located in the pedestrian street of the same name, in the heart of the city and you will be amazed by its beauty. One of the many legends tells that during its construction, the architect had with him his faithful dog that died shortly before the completion of the work. Look to the right of the right entrance and you will find carved in the marble of the facade, the image of a sleeping dog, in eternal memory of that puppy.

GARIBALDI STREET, THE MAIN STREE OF HISTORIC CENTER

In this splendid setting masterpiece of Genoese architecture, you can visit some of the most beautiful palaces in the city.
Palazzo Rosso, overlooked by The"S"Place, is a fascinating museum where, in addition to architecture, you can admire the works of artists such as Dürer, Veronese, Guercino, Strozzi, Grechetto, Van Dyck, and many others. Do not forget to climb to the "miradore" with a breathtaking view of the city.Palazzo Bianco is the main art gallery of Liguria, with works by Caravaggio, Rubens, Vouet, Strozzi.
Palazzo Doria-Tursi, seat of the Town Hall, was born as the most magnificent private residence. It is here that the historical violins of Niccolò Paganini are also preserved, including the famous Guarneri del Gesù, called the "Cannon".

DOGE’S PALACE WELCOMES YOU

It is the main center of cultural production of Genoa whose magnificent rooms host every year important art exhibitions, events and conferences. Do not forget to consult the calendar  of events and exhibitions.
I suggest you cross the road and slip into Vico dei Castagna to go and warm your heart from Viganotti  ancient artisan chocolate shop and historic shop, you can not miss it.
